“My Extra Hands” offers quality residential and commercial handyman services in the St. George and Washington, Utah areas and is locally owned and operated by me, Mike Goulding.
Who am I?
I am a member of ACHP (Association of Certified Handyman Professionals), a certified Trusted Redbeacon Pro for The Home Depot, a Porch Preferred Professional for Lowe’s, 5 star ratings on Google and Yelp.
After many years working in office management doing what I thought I had to do to take care of my family, I finally got the courage to start doing what I was supposed to do – using my hands and taking care of others.
In 2008, I began a new journey when I started “My Extra Hands” while living on the Gulf Coast of Florida, but I always knew that I would eventually be moving here, to St. George, the greatest corner of the world. (At least that’s the way I see it.) I am originally from a small town near Bryce Canyon National Park in Southern Utah, I am a Dixie State College/University Alumni and also attended SUU. After 17 years in Florida, a miraculous chain of events and a leap of faith, we were finally able to move back across the country and arrive to the record breaking heat in June of 2013. In spite of the heat that day, I was able to say, “I’m HOME!”
Why “My Extra Hands?”
I called it “My Extra Hands, because I want you to feel like you have an extra set of hands to do what you would do and the way you would do it if you had the time or ability. Treating your home with the same respect and care that you would. Treating you and your family the way I would hope someone would treat mine.
Why You Need “My Extra Hands”
Since I started “My Extra Hands,” my vision has always been to help lighten the load of others.

What do you look forward to doing after work? Some may look forward to the “Honey Do List,” but I suspect most have a hobby, vacation, or just want to spend quality time with family & friends. Do what you do and let me do what I do…take care of you.
I truly believe in the service I provide. I can’t count the number of times I’ve seen smiles along with a sigh of relief after completing a job that has been weighing down on someone for way too long. How many times do you look around the house and say, “I need to take care of that?” Doesn’t it seem to drain you a little more every time? The projects just keep adding up & they don’t go away by themselves…
What You Can Expect
Let me be upfront. I’m not the “cheap” guy, but my prices are reasonable and fair. If you need someone to just come and bang out a job for you, that’s fine, but not me. If you appreciate the value of service and trust, then I am the guy that has earned a high degree of trust and confidence with a lot of people and their homes. I’d rather give away the work than lose that trust and confidence. I hope to earn yours too.
I strive to be your extra hands & St. George handyman by providing excellent service, reliability, quality and care that some have said can be addicting. My goal is to always exceed your expectations.
I truly care about my customers. I respect your home and your space. I will always leave it better than when I arrived. NEVER a trail for you to clean up!
My name and reputation are important to me. I don’t claim to be perfect, but I work very hard to make sure you are perfectly satisfied. I’ll be here in St. George forever (my wife doesn’t like when I say until the day I die), so you can rest assured that you are important to me too.
